What is included
In adoption fee for dogs
Once a PSDR dog is rescued, the first thing we do is immediately scan then for Microchips & bring them in for a Veterinary check. If no chip is found we hold the dog for a 14 day period and try to find it’s owner. If no owner comes forward we then take full control of the health, well-being & rehabilitation of the dog. We Microchip them, update all of their vaccines and neuter/spay if necessary. Once the dog is at the rescue, we make sure they have clean & safe kennel area to sleep & eat. We ‘temp test’ all of our dogs to see how they do with other dogs, cats, adults & children. If there are any issues, they will work with trainers to make sure they develop new positive habits & so that they are able to easily transition into their new homes. All of our dogs are fed twice a day and given clean water & plenty of treats! Our volunteers walk the dogs twice a day and get them outside to exercise. When an adopter comes in to meet a dog we typically will show them a few dogs just to make sure they have an instant bond and connection. If an adopter has existing pets we will do a meet & greet to make sure they can coexist peacefully. We also do an extensive home check to make sure the conditions are suitable for the breed. We put a lot of love, time, sweat and tears into making sure every Pit Bull gets their forever home.
