GIVE RESCUE A CHANCE

Always Adopt, Never Shop

Without irresponsible owners, we wouldn’t have a job. Unfortunately people consider dogs to be property rather than family members, so they are often thrown away like garbage and put into positions they don’t want to be in. The only way to combat this is to educate the community on the importance of adoption. There are over 500,000 pit bulls being euthanized every year. We don’t need more dogs being bred, we need to save the ones that are already here.

BUT I WANT A PUPPY

To grow with me or my family

This is a very common statement we hear when talking to people about adopting rescue dogs. The fact is that yes, puppies are cute and cuddly, but they are also a lot of responsibility and very similar to having a baby. Most people quickly realize that their lifestyles don’t allow them the time and patience to properly care for a puppy. Which in a lot of cases we end up with litters of abandoned puppies. Also, an adult dog has already grown into it’s personality and when you meet them they all have different ones which can help you make a better choice about how well you will match. You can’t predict adult personality traits with puppies. If you’re still dead set on a puppy most rescues have them so you can still adopt one and safe a life.
